Knitted from a skein of Hampshire Down scrappy yarn called 'What Have You Been Rolling In?', this bag is called 'Rumpelstiltskin' because...well, in the fairy tale, Rumpelstiltskin took straw and spun it into gold.

So to make a 'scrappy' yarn,  I took some beautiful Hampshire Down fleece from Ewe51 who lives with the rest of the Clarendon Flock in nearby Winterslow, and blended in all my scraps of left-over acrylic ends, leftover textile bits and tiny threads (all the things she might have been rolling in, had she been in my studio...!) and hopefully, like Rumpelstiltskin, spun something beautiful and quite unique - 'What Have You Been Rollling In?'

The Rumpelstiltskin bag is unlined so that both sides can be appreciated - choose either the chunky garter stitch bag with a stockinette stitch drop-over flap, or a stockinette stitch bag with a garter stitch drop-over!

The drop-over flap is held down by three Hampshire Down and Merino felted pompoms, and the strap is slightly stretchy to allow ease of placing it over the head and arm.

As this is an UNLINED bag, gaps may occur in the rows so watch out for escaping pens!
