Service Description

This half-day workshop provides the techniques, materials and equipment to get you spinning on a drop spindle. £60 for 3hrs from either 10:30am or 1pm ** Please message me if the times bookable here are not suitable as I may have a weekend session available! Stick and Drop SPINNING WORKSHOP covers: Fibre types and fibre preparation Finger picking and carding Blending Simple stick spinning 'Park & Draft’ drop spinning Winding on a nostepinne Plying yarn Skeining on a niddy-noddy Setting yarn. Take-Home Kit includes 50g fibre, spinning stick, hand turned drop spindle, printed instructions, simple projects for finished yarn including needle weaving card and needle, online links, recycled textile project bag. Further UPSKILLING SESSIONS - £30 per 2hr session as needed, focussing on individual requirements. Separate booking option.
